New Mythologies of Basing Stoche was conceived and created by Lydia Thomson and Ben Mills.
Lydia is a playwright and audio producer. Her plays have been performed at the Roundhouse, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Salisbury Playhouse, HighTide Festival, Proteus Creation Space, Haymarket Basingstoke and the Paolo Grassi Academy in Milan. Her play 'Collide' won the inaugural Westminster Playwriting Prize. She is producer and curator of the Chain Reaction Podcast project and Theatre Deli podcast, and produces audiobooks for publishers including Audible, Penguin Random House Pan Macmillan and Orion.
Ben is a theatre and film director who has worked with organisations including the National Theatre, Young Vic, Royal Opera House, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Salisbury Playhouse and Proteus Theatre Company. His work as a filmmaker including 'Wrestling Yetis' which was described by the Independent as "funny and heart-warming" and has been screened at venues including the BFI Southbank, the House of Commons, Channel 4 HQ, BBC Big Screens and the Olympic Park.
